Kalavanti Fort!
Kalavanti Fort is considered a dangerous fort due to the size of its steep hill. It is located in the Western Ghats of Raigad district in Maharashtra. It is located in the Raigad district of Maharashtra state of India. Prabalgad Fort and Kalakartain Fort in Panvel are the leading destinations for adventure lovers of Maharashtra. Every year many trekkers visit the fort and experience the breathtaking view from above.
It is one of the main forts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Not much is known about the history of the fort. According to folklore, this fort was built in the 15th century for a queen named Kalwantin. The tribal people of Prabalmachi village follow the practice of dancing on the top of the Kalakartain fort during Holi (shimga) festival.
The trek on the Kalwantin Fort here requires full strength, patience and perseverance to reach the summit. It has high stop gins without any rope or railings to support your climb, making it the most dangerous trek. Steep slopes and 2-foot rock-cut steps each will give you a thrilling experience. Once you reach the top, all this is beneficial, but you will be welcomed with breathtaking views.
October to March is the best time to visit the fort. Avoid trekking in the rainy season as the risk increases due to slippery steps. Unfortunately, the number of accidents and rescue operations is also increasing

- Panvel to Dadar return ticket: Rs 40
- Panvel Bus Stand to Thakurwadi: Rs. 17 (Rs. 17 return) or private auto Rs. 200 to 250 acreage
- Entrance Fee to Kalawantin Fort: Rs. 50.
