Return Journey from Darjeeling

The Return Journey from Darjeeling

Darjeeling

Darjeeling is a small town in the Indian state of West Bengal, located in the middle of the moving base of the mighty Himalayas. It is famous for its tea gardens and is a popular tourist destination. The return journey was as remarkable as the arrival, filled with memories that will linger in our hearts forever.

We couldn't leave Darjeeling without one last ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, often called the "Toy Train." The narrow-gauge railway chugged its way through the mountains, providing us with breathtaking views one last time. The Batasia Loop was a particular highlight, offering a farewell glimpse of the Himalayan range.

Bagdogra is the nearest airport to Darjeeling and is about 90 km away. There are regular flights to Bagdogra from all major Indian cities. The airport is well connected to Darjeeling by road and many taxis and buses are available to travel.
